If you choose to be offensive, then like I said I won't tell anyone about this forum. So keep going, I will leave and be sure not to tell a soul about this forum.

I am sorry for getting mad, you sound like a reasonable guy someone who is understanding or just cares, and thank you for saying so about the posts.

Hi, I'm Manny Espinola, from the Philippines. I majored in philosophy but I teach English and Comparative Literature at the state university here. I first came accross the name of John Nash as a consequence of my interest in Alan Turing, itself a result of my interest in Artificial Intelligence, itself a byproduct of having majored in philo (logic, mathematical logic, Bertrand Russell, Wittgenstein, et al), which is kind of strange because I'm a math moron, despite my forum i.d. However, I have always been conscious of the inescapable fact that ignorance of mathematics excuses no one from the manifold consequences of its ignorance. Which brings me right back to John Nash. Can anyone please explain to me how the Nash Equilibrium is applied to Evolution (macro-evolutionary dynamics), in as layman a term as a mathematician could articulate? Other Nash-isms I'd like to familiarize myself with is my i.d.: wat da hell is a manifold, anyway?

Well a manifold is (I think) a way of looking at objects as if you were very small and on top of them. (or something like that). As far as Equilibrium being applied to evolution, well, beats me... I'm not a math genius of any sort, I just like it...
